The Scripps Central Desk is interested in energetic, forward-thinking copyeditors-page designers for production of its western newspapers. This person will create bold pages and lively headlines while ensuring accurate copy for the Abilene (Texas) Reporter-News, Corpus Christi (Texas) Caller-Times, Redding (Calif.) Record-Searchlight and Wichita Falls (Texas) Times Record News, Kitsap (Washington) Kitsap Sun and Ventura (California) Ventura County Star. Applicants need strong communication and teamwork skills and unwavering attention to detail. They should be solid under pressure and committed to deadlines. Applicants also need to embrace the challenge of finding efficiencies in producing seven papers at once. A minimum of two years daily experience is preferred. The Central Desk is run by E.W.
